How it works
Tell us who you are and which coins you could record.
We choose the coins together: ones Pingcoin can't test yet come first.
Ping each coin a few times in the app or on pingcoin.com/record, with a photo of each side.
We check every recording. Once the coin's reference is set, your name and link appear on it.
Good reference data
Every test of the coin is compared with what you record, so it has to be right.
Record only coins you know are genuine, from the mint or a trusted source.
Background noise hides the ring. The app shows you how to ping a coin well.
We measure every recording and compare it with the coin's specifications first.

Tell us a little about yourself and the coins you have. We'll email you to pick the first ones to record.
"Every coin Pingcoin can test exists because someone recorded genuine ones. I'd like the people who did to get the credit. I answer every sign-up myself."
FAQ
Pingcoin recognises a coin by the frequencies it rings at. Those frequencies come from recordings of genuine coins of the same type. Your recordings become the reference every test of that coin is compared with.
No. A phone and a quiet room are enough. You record in the Pingcoin app or on pingcoin.com/record, which also takes a photo of each side of the coin.
Any coin you know is genuine. Coins Pingcoin doesn't support yet help most, and so do more recordings of coins it already supports. Tell us what you have and we'll pick the coins together.
On the coin's test screen in the Pingcoin app for iPhone and Android, below the result: "Reference data contributed by" with your shop, channel or name. It links to your website or channel. Each coin credits one partner.
Not in cash. Partners get Pingcoin Pro for free, the credit and link in the app, and an affiliate code that earns a share of what the customers they refer spend.
We measure each one and check it against your coin's specifications before using it. Recordings that don't match, or coins that turn out not to be genuine, aren't used.
Record them, and get the credit every time they're tested.
