Introduction

Pingcoin ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Pingcoin mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Audio Data

The App uses your device's microphone to record the sound of coins being tapped ("ping test"). This audio data is processed locally on your device to analyze resonant frequencies and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties. Audio recordings are not stored after analysis is complete.

Purchase Information

If you choose to subscribe or make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details or financial information.

Analytics Data

We collect limited usage data to improve the App and decide which coins to support next. When you test a coin, we record an event containing: the coin type you tested, the authentication result, the coin's diameter and country of origin, and a randomly generated app identifier. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal information — we have no way to connect it to you as a person.

This data is processed on our behalf by Mixpanel (see "Third-Party Services" below) and stored on servers in the European Union. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to track you across other apps or websites.

  • Photos or media files
  • Browsing history
  • Device identifiers for advertising purposes

How We Use Information

The audio data you provide is used solely to:

  • Analyze coin resonant frequencies
  • Compare frequencies against our reference database
  • Provide you with authentication results

Data Storage and Security

Audio recordings are processed in real-time on your device and are automatically deleted after analysis. We do not store your audio recordings on any external servers.

Children's Privacy

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is suitable for general audiences and does not contain age-restricted content.

Your Rights

  • Delete the App at any time, which removes all locally stored data
