Record a few 10-second takes, pinging the coin several times in each, then send them together.

How to pingBalance the coin on a fingertip and tap its edge.
  1. Find a quiet room. Turn off fans, music and the TV.
  2. Balance the coin on a fingertip, flat and centered. Don’t pinch it or lay it on a table, or it won’t ring.
  3. Hold it close to the microphone, about 10–20 cm (4–8 in) away.
  4. Tap the edge gently with another coin or a pen. Let each ping ring out for a second or two before the next.
  5. Ping 3 to 5 times per take. The take stops on its own after 10 seconds.

In the 3D view, a good ping shows up as long, bright lines highlighted in cyan: the coin’s resonant frequencies.

Press Record, then ping the coin a few times.
